Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA)
Shelby Fritzsch is a Communicative Disorders Assistant (CDA), and registered Early Childhood Educator. She first graduated with Honours from Georgian College in 2015, and with honours from Lambton College in Sarnia in 2016. CDA’s assist speech and hearing professionals with the implementation of treatment plans, and perform speech, language and hearing screenings, as well as conduct repairs and cleaning maintenance on hearing devices and their equipment.
Shelby became interested in the speech and hearing field after she completed a field practicum placement during her high school career. She intended on focusing her career goals on speech and language therapy, but after one audiology class was hooked, and instantly started focusing her passion and career towards helping those with hearing difficulties.
Born and raised in Owen Sound, Shelby has always loved the area, and the sense of community that comes with the small town. She is a fairly new member of the team, having joined the clinic in January 2016. She has since taken on a few different roles, and loves the diversity the job has to offer.
Shelby is excited to fine-tune her hearing health professional skills, and to build upon her knowledge and repertoire to best assist the clients within the clinic!
