Hearing Instrument Specialist
Katie Troyan is a Hearing Instrument Specialist (HIS) in good standing with the Association of Hearing Instrument Practitioners of Ontario (AHIP). She received her Bachelor of Science Degree with Honours from the University of Guelph in 2004. In 2007, she graduated with distinction from the Hearing Instrument Specialist Program at Conestoga College in Kitchener.
Katie became interested in the field of hearing health care when her grandfather was wading through the process of hearing assessments and subsequently obtaining hearing aids. After arranging some time to shadow a Hearing Practitioner, she was inspired to help the hearing impaired.
Since 2005, Katie has worked diligently to assist patients reach their full hearing potential and to help them maintain the healthy hearing that they have. She accomplishes this in conjunction with other hearing health care providers within the clinic.
Katie is a service provider for Veteran’s Affairs Canada (VAC), The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) and the Assistive Devices Program of Ontario (ADP).
